 HomewardBound is a non-profit corporation committed to meeting the critical housing needs of men, women and children who are homeless in Mesa County, Colorado. Volunteers needed: food@homewardboundgj.org. HomewardBound operates the Grand Junction Homeless Shelter, which provides year-round emergency shelter. HomewardBound of the Grand Valley is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations to our organization are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law on your Federal Income Tax Return. In addition, any donation of more than $50 is also eligible for an Enterprise Zone Tax Credit on your Colorado State income tax return. Please request an Enterprise Tax Zone certificate when you make your donation if you wish to claim this credit. Thank you for supporting our mission and the people of Mesa County. |

Volunteers needed to cook and serve meals. Please call 256-9424 if you or your group is interested. Having a holiday get together, a birthday or an anniversary coming up? Consider holding a "Party With Purpose" this year. Simply ask your guests to bring items from our wish list, or make a cash donation to benefit the programs of HomewardBound. This is a simple way to incorporate giving into your festivities, while saving your guests time spent looking for the perfect gift. Call 256-9424 for more information. Recent Events March 31, 2007: The 6th Annual Journey Home at Two Rivers Winery. Event Sponsors included Wells Fargo, KKCO Channel 11, Image Design Specialties, Mountain Air Medical Equipment, Thomas Hunn Jewelers, Promark Realty, Two Rivers Winery and many more local business who care. The event raised more than $15,000 to benefit the Grand Junction Community Homeless Shelter. July 4, 2006: The first ever Patriot Poker Run raised nearly $1200 to support the Phoenix Project, housing and case management for formerly Homeless Veterans. |
